This week the church of God remembers with thanksgiving that in His love for us, Jesus Christ took to himself the pain and loss of our world, experiencing both the joy and desolation of the human experience. As we hold before God the brokenness of our world, and this week particularly the tragedy that has unfolded in Brussels; let us pray for peace and the renewal of our hope in God’s gracious gift of life for all.
Almighty God, as we stand at the foot of the cross of your Son, help us to see and know your love for us, so that in humility, love and thanksgiving, we may place at his feet all that we have and all that we are; we ask this through our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
The week started with Mothering Sunday and after the 9.00am Parish Eucharist service all mums received a special thank you with a posy of daffodils.
The series of lent lunches continues hosted by the Churchwardens. Previous weeks have been hosted by the Bellringers, Mothers’ Union and Cathedral Clergy and Staff. Next week is the final week, St Teilo Guild will be serving soup, bread and cheese. Thank you to all for supporting this.
