Chorister Chaperone
The Dean and Chapter seek to appoint a committed individual to join the team of chaperones who supervise the cathedral choristers, covering duties on up to three afternoons (4.00-6.15pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) each week. The Exact duties may be tailored to the candidate, but this role will include working with Cathedral staff, the Cathedral School and other stakeholders in ensuring the safety, wellbeing and flourishing of the choristers.
The music which the Cathedral Choir provide is an integral part of worship and mission and the music department is committed to promoting Llandaff Cathedral as a centre for excellence in music and liturgy. The life of a Cathedral Chorister is a rewarding but incredibly demanding one for boys, girls and their families. We are seeking a chaperone who understands these demands and will be a practical and pastoral support to the choristers.
