Llandaff Cathedral is delighted to announce the award of a grant of £22,350 from Cathedral Music Trust (CMT). This will support and expand the provision of singing and theory tuition for the choristers and establish a programme of singing tuition for back row of the cathedral choir.

We are one of 27 cathedrals and churches in the UK to be supported by this year’s CMT financial support programme, making an incredible investment of over £438,000. We are deeply grateful to CMT and their supporters for their amazing support of cathedral music across the UK and Ireland.

“This grant allows us to provide vital vocal support to all members of our cathedral choir,” said Stephen Moore, Llandaff Cathedral’s Director of Music. “We will be able to support both our adult and young singers, ensuring they access to specialist tuition and giving them the tools, care and confidence that will help nurture and keep their voices healthy and resilient for years to come. Crucially, this will provide a strength in depth to our cathedral choir team, helping to support each individual towards our common purpose.
