Start the festive season at Llandaff Cathedral’s Winter Craft Fair!
With free entry, everyone is welcome to step inside the Cathedral on a crisp November evening to explore over 30 stalls of locally handmade crafts, gifts, and seasonal treasures. Start your Christmas shopping early and find unique items ranging from artisan jewellery and festive decorations to handmade candles and ceramics, while supporting local independent craftspeople.
Throughout the evening, the Lady Chapel will come alive with music, with performances by the soaring Choristers of Llandaff Cathedral Choir and a brass quartet playing festive Christmas carols, providing a warm and joyful soundtrack as you browse.
Why not treat yourself to a cheeky mulled wine or seasonal baked goodies from our pop-up café while soaking up the cozy, seasonal atmosphere?
It’s the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season with family and friends, combining craft, music, and festive cheer in one magical evening.
Advent Procession

Join us as we journey from darkness to light and embrace the hope of Advent in this beautiful candlelit service. Featuring beautiful choral music and traditional readings from scripture, this dramatic service marks the beginning of the Christian year.

A Christmas Sequence – Gwasanaeth O Fyfyrio

A service of reflection for the Christmas season featuring a cycle of traditional Christmas carols arranged for choir and harp by Sir John Rutter and Benjamin Britten.

Crib Service
21 December 4pm – Free
A joyful Family Crib Service at Llandaff Cathedral, retelling the Nativity story and sharing the wonder of Christmas — where children, families, and the light of the manger come together in celebration. Children (and adults!) are warmly invited to come dressed as any character or animal from the Christmas story.

Seating at these services is reserved by advanced ticket only. Tickets will be available from 7pm on 14th December.
Tickets are limited. Please reserve only what you need and return any unused tickets promptly via Ticketsource or the Cathedral Office, so others may attend.

First Eucharist of Christmas

Celebrate the First Eucharist of Christmas at Llandaff Cathedral, 9.30pm on Christmas Eve, as we gather to welcome the birth of Christ in word, sacrament, and music.
Music will be offered by the Majestas Concert Choir, featuring Whitbourn’s Missa Carolae, Mozart’s Missa Brevis, and beloved carols including The Holy Boy and The Sussex Carol.
