Canon Precentor

The Dean and Chapter of Llandaff Cathedral is seeking to appoint a Canon Precentor as a key member of the residential clergy team at the Cathedral.

This is an unique opportunity for a prayerful priest who will support us liturgically and musically. This is an exciting time to join the team as the Cathedral seeks to develop its life and witness. Liturgy at Llandaff is dignified yet relaxed, in our building and online, traditional and inclusive in our response to our capital city.

Music plays an important part of life at Llandaff Cathedral under the directorship of Stephen Moore. The Precentor will work closely with the music team and will need to have musical knowledge and ability.

Mae Deon a Chabidwl Eglwys Gadeiriol Llandaf yn awyddus i apwyntio Canon Prif Gantor fel aelod allweddol o dîm clerigwyr preswyl yr Eglwys Gadeiriol.

Dyma gyfle arbennig ar gyfer offeiriad gweddigar fydd yn darparu cymorth i ni’n gerddorol ac o ran litwrgi. Dyma gyfle cyffrous i ymuno â’r tîm wrth i’r Eglwys Gadeiriol ddatblygu’i bywyd a’i chenhadaeth. Mae’r litwrgi yn Llandaf yn weddus ond yn hamddenol, o fewn yr adeilad ac ar-lein, yn draddodiadol ac yn gynhwysol yn ein ymateb i’n prifddinas.

Mae cerddoriaeth yn chwarae rhan bwysig ym mywyd Eglwys Gadeiriol Llandaf o dan gyfarwyddiaeth Stephen Moore. Bydd y prif gantor yn cyd-weithio’n agos gyda’r adran gerdd a bydd angen dealltwraieth a gallu cerddorol.
