New Chief Operating Officer Appointed

The Dean & Chapter are delighted to announce the appointment of Geraint Hywel Williams as the Cathedral’s Chief Operating Officer. Geraint read Law at the University of Manchester and the Université de Bourgogne before joining HSBC’s graduate scheme, working in West Wales, Cardiff and London.

Having been a Policy Adviser to The Law Society of England and Wales and the director of a legal training company, Geraint has spent the last seven years as a Relationship Manager for Business Wales, a Welsh Government project which delivers advice to businesses. He specialises in advising high growth businesses and third sector organisations on governance and compliance issues.

He is the Musical Director of a cancer charity choir in Neath Port Talbot, and organist at Bethesda Congregational Church, Llangennech. He lives in the rural hamlet of Llanegwad, Carmarthenshire with his Old English Sheepdog.
