Canon Treasurer Appointed
Appointment of Canon Treasurer
The Dean and Chapter of Llandaff Cathedral is delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Lewis as its new Canon Treasurer. Rob will chair Chapter’s finance committee and will lead Chapter’s responsibility for the Cathedral’s finances and assets. He will guide and advise Chapter in its ongoing financial strategy.
Rob is married to Blodwen and they have two children, Sara and Harri – Harri attended the Cathedral School until 2020. A partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Rob specialises in corporate restructuring and insolvency, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of PwC’s Restructuring practice. He has previously been PwC’s Regional Chairman for Wales and the West of England. A fluent Welsh speaker, Rob was brought up in Radyr, and has lived in Llandaff since 2010. He and Blodwen are regular worshippers at the Cathedral.
On being appointed, Rob said: “I am delighted to have been invited to join the Dean and Chapter at a time when there are some great opportunities ahead, notwithstanding the recent challenges of the pandemic. The hard work of my predecessor, Richard Bacon, and other members of Chapter, over the past 15 months has established a strong platform on which to build and I am looking forward to playing a part in helping the Cathedral thrive over the coming years.”
The Cathedral Chapter comments: “We are delighted that Bishop June has made this appointment, following Chapter’s public appeal for a new Canon Treasurer. Rob brings significant expertise in financial management and an enormous amount of experience to his new role in Llandaff. Llongyfarchiadau Rob a chroeso cynnes i’r Cabidwl.”
Canon Rob Lewis has already begun his work on Chapter, but will be formally installed as Canon Treasurer in the Autumn.
