The Cathedral resumes Public Worship:

We are pleased to be able to announce that the Cathedral will be open again for worship this Sunday – 19th July. There is a lot for us to consider in restarting services so please read the full details here

The Cathedral is now open for private prayer. We are open from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on weekdays and from 2.00pm to 5.00pm on weekends with social distancing measures in place.

Tuesday 14th July

•  Thought for the day is based on one of the day’s lectionary readings.  For the Bible online, click the following link – http://bible.oremus.org/ – then choose your version (we use NRSV in church). Copy and paste the reference (Matthew 5. 1-8) into the search box and the passage will be displayed.

Monday 13th July

Sunday 12th July – The Fifth Sunday after Trinity

• Canon Jan leads a short service for children and families including the Gospel of the day and a craft activity! The service also includes two songs for everyone to join in with: ‘Give me oil in my lamp’ and ‘When I needed a neighbour’.

• Canon Mark leads a service for the Fifth Sunday after Trinity. The service also includes two hymns for all to sing: ‘Rise and hear! The Lord is speaking’ and ‘And can it be that I should gain’. The Organ is played by Stephen Moore, Director of Music.
