The Fron Male Voice Choir

The Fron Male Voice Choir celebrate their 70th Anniversary with a Cathedral Concert Tour. The choir have a proud history, they were formed in 1947 to compete in the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and have had success in competitions throughout the UK and Europe. They are however probably better known for their series of 5 CDs under the theme of Voices of the Valley. Their CDs have been awarded Gold and Platinum Disks, and are sold in over 80 countries and tracks appear on 94 compilation CDs worldwide.

Ellen Williams soprano

Ellen graduated with a Masters in Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2015. She continues to study on the Opera Course with Suzanne Murphy and Michael Pollock, gratefully supported by the Arts Council of Wales. Ellen has been awarded a Leverhulme scholarship and is a recipient of the Aneurin Davies Award and Elias Singing Prize for Soprano.

Ellen has performed in theatres and concert venues both internationally and across the UK, including Cadogan Hall, Royal Concert Hall Glasgow, Bridgewater Hall, Venue Cymru, The Wales Millennium Centre, and St. David’ Hall.
