CATHEDRAL SHOP

Christmas at the Cathedral Shop

We will be open on Sundays between morning services on Dec.4th, 11th and 18th, and at our usual times on weekdays
until 2 o'clock on Christmas Eve.
Do come along and help support the Cathedral as you buy your gifts.

The Cathedral Shop is situated in the South West corner of the Nave of the Cathedral beneath the South West spire (The Prichard Tower).

the shop this year

Chutney in a range of different flavours and marmalade

Spiced shortbread biscuits

Special cranberry sauce
Selection of boxes of handmade chocolates
Small, boxed chocolate Christmas trees for children
Attractively wrapped bars of delicious handmade chocolate

Books, Music & Printed Material

Why not choose a book as a Christmas gift from our Cathedral Shop Book Corner? Our wide selection includes:

"Llandaff Cathedral", edited by Nick Lambert, is full of fascinating facts and photographs, and at £25 is excellent value for a hardback that would be a great addition to any library.

Other possibilities for gifts for adults include volumes about various religious buildings: "Abbeys and Priories", "Saint  and Stones" (one for all those lovers of Pembrokeshire), and "Wales 100 Best Churches" (on the Seren stand), as well as books for dipping in to - among them: "A Literary Pilgrim in Wales", "Aled's Favourite.Carols", "Great Poems" etc.

If you want an interesting but smaller gift the Shire paperbacks include such titles as "Dolls Houses", "Picture Postcards", "Worcester Porcelain" and many others.

There are plenty of possibilities for children's stocking-fillers: Christmas story books and sticker books, local history activity books (a great colouring book of Cardiff for example), children's classics, Roald Dahl etc.

Don't miss "Jesus's Christmas Party", a delightful retelling of the Christmas Story from the point of view of the grumpy Innkeeper who wants a good night's sleep but is disturbed by noisy angels, bright lights, etc. - just £1.50.

Children's books in Welsh include Christmas titles and Roald Dahl, and we have some lovely Bible Jigsaws (e.g. £4 for a box of 6) - boxed in Welsh but suitable for any child of course ( I have translated the titles!)

Piano music includes some great Christmas selections of carols arranged as piano solos, and we have Christmas CD’s, reasonably priced and including Kings College and Aled Jones.

As always, our main focus will be to pass on the true message of Christmas in as many different ways as possible. We wish all our customers a very "Happy Christmas" and extend our thanks for supporting the shop.

Thank you
