The Cathedral
& Parish Church
of
SS Peter & Paul,
Dyfrig, Teilo &
Euddogwy

The Very Reverend John T. Lewis, M.A.,  Dean & Vicar

The Cathedral Church of SS Peter & Paul, Dyfrig, Teilo and Euddogwy is the mother church of the Diocese of Llandaff and is the seat of the Bishop of Llandaff.  The Diocese, one of the six dioceses comprising the Province of  The Church in Wales, covers the general area of South Wales bounded by Cardiff in the South East to Neath in the South West, the Heads of the Valleys to the North and Rhymney Valley to the East .

The Cathedral also serves as a Parish Church, the Dean also being the Vicar of the Parish of Llandaff.  The Cathedral lies close to the bank of the River Taff in the ancient "City of Llandaff" much of which is now a conservation area. Despite being surrounded on all sides by the bustling modern city of Cardiff, the Llandaff conservation area remains comparatively unspoilt and surprisingly tranquil.

There are frequent Bus Services to Llandaff from Cardiff City Centre as follows:

  • Route 25, 33, 33A & 62 from Cardiff Central Railway/Bus Station

Road access to the Cathedral is straightforward as follows: Map & directions

  • From City Centre - At Cardiff Castle, drive West and cross River Taff; turn right into Cathedral Road (A4119) and follow signs to Llandaff.
From M4 (East of Cardiff) - leave M4 at Junction 29 on A48(M), then after 3 miles the A48 (Eastern Avenue).  Remain on A48 and, after passing Gabalfa Interchange, the Cathedral will be visible ahead.  After 1 mile take left exit and follow signs for A4119 and Llandaff Cathedral.

  • From M4 (West of Cardiff) - leave M4 at Junction 32 on A470 South.  Remain on A470 until Gabalfa Interchange.  Turn right on to A48 (Western Avenue) and after 1 mile take left exit and follow signs for A4119 and Llandaff Cathedral.

Wheelchair access is provided at the East and West ends of the Cathedral. Car Parking in the area of the Cathedral is free and unrestricted.
