The Friends of Llandaff Cathedral is an independent charitable organisation (Charity Number 501362) set up in 1933 “to bring together in a common fellowship of loyalty and devotion all those who care for the ancient Cathedral Church of Llandaff and desire to take some part in suitably maintaining its fabric and Services”.
This is mainly realised by raising funds, by subscriptions, donations, legacies and events, which can be used to help the Dean and Chapter:
- Restore, maintain, repair and improve the fabric of the Cathedral
- Maintain the Cathedral’s worship.
Some of the Friends recent projects can be found here.
The Friends organise various events throughout the year which should be of interest to members. More details here.
Friends also receive a copy of the Annual Report. The Report for 2019-21 is now available. Copies can be found on the Friends’ stand near the west door of the Cathedral, or requested by sending a message to our e-mail address (see below).
Membership starts at £20 for a single annual membership. Joint, Life and Corporate Memberships are also available. How to join.
As well as the regular income the Friends receive from subscriptions and donations, another important source of funds comes from legacies. More details here.
