Christian Aid – Volunteers Needed
JUST THREE HOURS TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF 150 REFUGEE FAMILIES – PLEASE HELP!
When is help needed and what’s involved? Delivering an envelope to about 20 houses locally and collecting it again in
Christian Aid Week: 14th-20th May.
Is it worth the trouble? Yes – absolutely! Last year, we raised over £7,000 in Llandaff. If we could do this again, we could (for example) provide cooking facilities for over 150 refugee families – a shred of normality in their desperately insecure lives.
I’m very busy – how long does it take? Only about 3 hours – half an hour for delivery and the rest for two visits to collect.
Could I do it even if I’m out at work all day? Yes, delivery and collection can be done in the light evenings or at the weekends.
Haven’t you got enough collectors already? We have a marvellous team, but each year it diminishes due to house moves, illness, holidays etc., and at present we haven’t got enough to cover the Parish.
I think I should volunteer – where do I sign up? There is a list on the Christian Aid table at the back of the Cathedral, or contact Sue Smith on 20569234 or at email@example.com or any of the Christian Aid Team – details on the table by the West Doors.
