On Thursday, we commemorated the festival of All Souls with a service of Holy Eucharist. The service was sung to music by Gabriel Fauré by the choir of Llandaff Cathedral Singers.
The Christian faith acknowledges that the church which exists here on earth but also in heaven is made up of all the people of God. At the commemoration of All Souls, the church on Earth continues to entrust those who have died to this world to the constant care and love of God in Christ. As we gather to celebrate the Eucharist, we believe that those in heaven and earth are united in one mysterious but wonderful communion through Christ by whose death and resurrection we are all given a new hope.
